PKMS Annual General Meeting 2017

Bismillahirrahmanirahim

Assalaamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Let us be grateful to the merciful Allah SWT, for with His grace, we can be together at the PKMS Annual General Meeting 2017. In the past, we only have Bi-Enniel Genral Meeting. However, this today onwards we will be having a General Meeting Annually. One general meeting will be like today where we will report on Organization’s activities and another year as usual, we will have election process for the next term’s Supreme Council line up.

All the preparations for the success of the Annual Meeting of the PKMS (AGM) have been completed. Alhamdulillah, on the same day we also had our Veteran’s Club First Year Anniversary.

“PKMS Event – Mesra Bersama 2017”

A joint Collaboration Project between PKMS Youth Wing Movement and Women’s Wing Movement with the community.

Location: PKMS Building level 4.

During this event most of the attendees are non members of PKMS. They attended to know more about PKMS and our activities.
Thankfully, after this event more people join us a member and adhoc volunteers.

PKMS Free PSLE Preparation Workshop

On July 23, 2017, PKMS Education Department held a Free PSLE Preparation Workshop.

The workshop was initiated by PKMS Education Department, supported by SWKD Consulting and Torch Tutor.

The main focus of this workshop is to improve learning skills, to develop an effective method of learning. The uniqueness of the workshop is, it also emphasize on Parents’ involvement in their Children’s studies.

The host for that day was Mr Abdul Mutalib, Deputy Head of Education Department.

The opening ceremony was held by Mr Malik Ismail, Vice President 1 of PKMS.

A total of 10 families have been present for the program and they are very satisfied with PKMS’ initiatives in organizing this workshop. We sincerely appreciate for everyone’s participation and hope to see everyone again in upcoming workshops.

Tahlil Ceremony AT PKMS

Alhamdulillah. Our tahlil ceremony on 15 Disember 2017, which was specially done for our loved ones whom had already passed on, just ended. This Tahlil ceremony is also specially done for our PKMS hero, the late Sarhid Bin Yusoff, who has just passed on due to Heart Attack on 29th November 2017 in Doha, Qatar.

May his spirits be in peace. Our sincerely Condolences to his Family. His contributions and dedication towards PKMS will always be remembered. Aamiin aamiin aamiin YRA.

PKMS Cultural Night – 7 April 2018

PKMS Cultural Night

PKMS Cultural Night is organised by PKMS Cultural Department.
This time round PKMS have invited performers from Ngee Ann Poly who participated in short Drama and Malay Dance. Besides that there are a few other Polytechnic Students and Staffs attended this Event.

More than 100 people turned up for the event.
It was a great night, great event.

PKMS Women’s Wing Women’s Entrepreneur Networking Session

Activity: PKMS Women’s Wing Women’s Entrepreneur Networking Session

PKMS Women’s Wing had a great opportunity to assemble a group of Dynamic Women on 1 December 2018.
They had participated well, mingled, laughed and shared what they had in common.

However, the most important thing was, they got connected.
While in today’s world, technology plays a very important and vital role in doing business, personal touch and connecting with someone through the old fashion way is still important as well.

It is great to put a face to a name, what more to be able to connect through a simple conversation.

Special thanks to the Head of Women’s Wing, Anna Ahmad and her Women’s Wing movement for organizing the event. Not to forget, the Head of Youth Wing, Mr Sofyan Ahmad Joyri who contributed a very motivating speech during the networking session. Last but not the least of all sponsorships given who had made everything possible.

PKMS 3rd edition of Warta Distribution at Bukit Gombak area

This is one of the distributions of PKMS’ Warta 3rd edition. Warta is PKMS’ own Newsletter printed in Malay.

There were about 20 volunteers assisted in the distribution at Bukit Gombak Area. There were about 600 copies of Warta being distributed within 2 hours.

The public was very responsive and was still concern with PKMS’ progress. Besides distributing Warta, we have a chance to mingle with the Malay Muslims Community at Bukit Batok Area.

Fundraising Campaign for Victims in Myanmar

We, from the Singapore Malay National Organization (PKMS) were saddened over events in Rakhine, Myanmar. Many people and children have died, those survived end up being refugees.

Hence, we raised a small amount of money as a contribution to help the Rohingyas who were being suppressed. The funds collected will be channelled to MUIS, who led a fundraising campaign for victims in Myanmar.

We are also proud that MUIS organizes this fundraising event to assist the suppressed people in Rakhine, Myanmar.

Hopefully, with this small contribution of ours able to assist them in many ways.
